Kate brings a unique blend of hands-on experience and technical expertise to wedding planning. Having grown up immersed in the world of wedding planning for her family business since the age of six, it's all she's ever known.

Kate is extremely hands-on and, while she does appreciate the finer, more girly details, her true strength lies in the technical and logistical aspects of pulling a wedding together. From building marquees and managing power supplies and generators, to setting tables and ordering linen, she ensures that every detail is meticulously planned and executed.

While she excels in planning marquee weddings, she is also happy to provide on-the-day coordination for other venues, including barn venues, if required.

2D & 3D Floor Plans Tailored for your Event

After your initial meeting with Kate, as long as you have a confirmed marquee venue, she can create detailed 2D or 3D floor plans. These can then be sent to proposed marquee companies, saving time and ensuring you receive accurate quotes from the very start.

Thanks to her hands-on experience in building marquees, Kate can often verify whether a venue is suitable for your event. This is especially important for assessing access, and she can also advise on what is realistic for different marquee companies based on their stock and capabilities.

Getting Level is the Key

Because Kate has years of hands‑on experience actually building marquees, she can usually tell quite quickly whether a venue will work for your event. This is especially helpful when it comes to access, layout, and understanding what different marquee companies can realistically offer based on their stock and setup style. She also offers a range of flooring solutions designed for different structure types, helping you choose the option that best suits your venue.

Kate’s main expertise lies in building marquees with level flooring, which brings huge benefits whether your site is sloped, uneven, or prone to wet conditions. Level flooring allows water to sit underneath the structure rather than coming up through it, keeping your event space dry and comfortable. Beyond the practical advantages, level flooring also adds stability and a touch of elegance to your wedding. By ensuring everything sits straight and even, it creates a polished, refined finish throughout the space.

Although Sub-floor & Frame marquees are where Kate’s experience is strongest, she is also very familiar with traditional pole‑and‑rope marquees and tipis, and can confidently support you with these structures too.
